1. Overview
概要

Skim View simply splits selected text or the whole page into two columns — Keyword (left) and Skimmed Word (right) — overlaid right on the page. It makes English easier to read for native speakers and learners alike. All processing happens locally within your browser.

Skim View（流読表示）は、選択したテキストやページ本文を、要点語(Keyword)・所流語(Skimmed Word)の二列に分けてブラウザ上にオーバーレイ表示するだけの拡張機能です。ネイティブスピーカー・学習者を問わず、英文が読みやすくなります。すべての処理は、お使いのブラウザ内でローカルに完結します。

2. Information We Collect
収集する情報

This extension makes no external network requests. It does not collect, store, or transmit browsing history, input content, or any personally identifiable information.

本拡張機能は、外部サーバーへの通信を一切行いません。閲覧履歴、入力内容、個人を特定できる情報など、いかなるデータも収集・保存・送信しません。

No account or personal information is required. / アカウント登録や個人情報の入力は不要です。
No cookies or tracking technologies are used. / Cookieやトラッキング技術は使用しません。
No analytics tools are embedded. / 解析(アナリティクス)ツールは組み込まれていません。
3. Permissions Used
使用する権限について

The extension requests the following permissions, used solely to display the overlay — never to collect data. Skim View does not request access to all websites; it only accesses the current tab when you explicitly invoke it.

本拡張機能は以下の権限を使用しますが、いずれもオーバーレイ表示という単一の目的のためにのみ使用され、データの収集には使用されません。Skim Viewは全サイトへのアクセス権限を要求せず、ユーザーが明示的に機能を呼び出した際にのみ、そのタブにアクセスします。

activeTab — Grants temporary access to the current tab only when you click the toolbar icon or use the right-click menu. / ツールバーアイコンのクリックまたは右クリックメニューの使用時にのみ、現在のタブへの一時的なアクセスを許可します。
scripting — Injects the overlay display script into the active tab on demand. / アクティブなタブにオーバーレイ表示スクリプトをオンデマンドで注入するために使用します。
contextMenus — Adds a right-click menu item for visualizing text. / 右クリックメニューに「図示」の項目を追加するために使用します。
